So I have seen many threads on how to get the ps4 controller to work on Far Cry. Seen many different answers but for me, it was plug in controller. Start big picture mode. Settings, controller settings. Make sure playstation support is on. Restart steam. Back to big picture mode. Go to the game, controller settings, and for global configuration settings go to Force off. This is because Far Cry DS4 D-pad not working in Far Cry 5 anymore. I had a DS4 configuration set-up to mirror the a basic DS4. It worked perfectly on Far Cry 5 earlier yesterday. D-pad Left was Gun/Fang for Hire 1, D-pad Up was binoculars, D-pad Down was Throw Rock, and D-pad Right was Gun/Fang for Hire 2. Same as it is by default in-game. I plugged and played. Far Cry 5. Yeah that's right when it comes too shooting.But the controller works very well too. I use an Xbox controller & I can reverse using the right trigger. Forward left trigger, reverse right trigger. Disable steam input by going onto controller settings in steam and selecting disable. This fixed it for me. Idk why steam input breaks the reverse button but there ya go. Update fixed this a long time ago. Far Cry New Dawn Controller Problem. On my previous pc my xinput logitech f310 controller worked fine but on my current pc it doesn't work with new dawn. I've tried reinstalling, using x360ce and adding the game to steam and unchecking the controller boxes Please help.
